This studio course is for students with previous experience that are ready to progress towards the next level which is to consider an exhibition quality body of work. Unlike basic classes which rely on assignments furnished by the instructor, students in this class will be encouraged by the instructor to generate ideas and create individual projects of their own design. In a supportive environment complemented by demonstrations, individual and group critiques and relevant slide lectures students will be motivated to focus on developing their own personal style and two dimensional voice. Students should bring their favorite materials and their ideas to the first class. An additional models fee may be required for students with an interest in the human figure.

Join professional illustrator and art teacher Lena Shiffman for a fun and relaxed art class. Work from still life set ups by the teacher or use your own photographs. If the weather permits you can set up outside and paint “plein air”. Work with your favorite medium or pick a new one to learn such as charcoal, pastels, oil, acrylic or watercolor. If you are new to art, drawing is always a great place to begin. You can work on one painting all semester or start a new one every week – the choice is yours. All abilities welcome!
Zumba Toning Class Winter Session 2026

Zumba Toning combines body sculpting exercises and dance cardio movements to create a calorie torching, full body workout. The use of light weights gives this class the added element of toning the upper body while also concentrating on the lower body as well as the abdominal muscles. This class is perfect for any fitness level, beginner and up! Instructor, Ashley Vactor, offers an engaging and fun class experience with easy to follow choreography to all your favorite Latin music.

This class incorporates simple flowing sequences to warm up the body, as well as slower paced movements focusing on alignment, strength, balance, and flexibility.

Students stay at school to participate in tennis and parents pick up at 4:30pm. If your child attends after care at TBS the instructor will walk the child to after care at the conclusion of tennis.
Ten and under tennis right at school! Smaller courts, lighter and lower bouncing balls and smaller and lighter rackets make it easy and fun for our little players to hit and play right from the start.
Bring your own racket or use one that is provided for the class time.

FUNKY FORCES – The fun in physics! Learn new things and take home a great project!

We will investigate Gravity… Inertia… Centripetal Force… who could ever imagine that physics could be so much fun?
We will compare physical and chemical reactions and grow our own crystal gardens. Children will learn how water can vanish right before their eyes and they will see action-reaction forces at work as a fan cart races across the room and mini-rockets launch through the air.
The particpants twirl into action with the Newton Spinner Take-Homestunt pilot, then investigate physics fundamentals and use their scientific minds to explore the science behind magic tricks. Your Mad Scientists will be shocked by what they learn about electricity, blown away by their experiments with air pressure, and swept away by the excitement of working with waves!
Parents are not permitted to stay in the cafeteria during the program – this is a drop off class
