This studio course is for students with previous experience that are ready to progress towards the next level which is to consider an exhibition quality body of work. Unlike basic classes which rely on assignments furnished by the instructor, students in this class will be encouraged by the instructor to generate ideas and create individual projects of their own design. In a supportive environment complemented by demonstrations, individual and group critiques and relevant slide lectures students will be motivated to focus on developing their own personal style and two dimensional voice. Students should bring their favorite materials and their ideas to the first class. An additional models fee may be required for students with an interest in the human figure.

Pollinator species have declined in numbers, become endangered or even gone extinct due to the loss of natural food supplies and habitat. Parks for Pollinators is a national campaign to raise awareness and community involvement in the pollinator crisis through local parks and recreation and like-minded organizations. During this BioBlitz, we will attempt to create a snapshot of what pollinators and pollinator plants live in our parks using the iNaturalist app.
FREE PROGRAMS IN READINGTON (pre-registration required) are open to ages 7+.
Children must be accompanied by a parent – this is not a drop off program.
9/18 6:00-7:00 pm Intro to iNaturalist and a short walk at Dobozynski Farm
9/22 3:00-4:00 pm Walk documenting pollinators at Pickell Park (you don’t need to attend on 9/18 in order to participate)

This link is to register to PROVIDE CANDY from your car trunk at the Readington Halloween Event on Saturday October 26th.
The event is at Pickell Park from 1:30-4:30 pm.
You should be prepared to provide candy for up to 250 children.
Each car participating receives a $25 gift certificate to Readington Recreation.
To sign up to BE A PARTICIPATING TRUNK please complete this registration.
THE DEADLINE TO SIGN UP TO PARTICIPATE AS A TRUNK IS OCTOBER 14th
If we do not have enough volunteers on that day we will not have a trunk or treat.

Readington Halloween Event 2024

Children ages Pre-School – Grade 5
Each child participating must be registered individually!
Registration $5 per child includes a fun goody bag while supplies last.
Event includes Train Ride, FREE Family Photo Booth, Amusements and more!
There will be a Trunk or Treat beginning at 2:30-3:00pm

This is to register to take the Rutgers Youth Safety Course offered by Readington Recreation.
This course is FREE for coaches in any of the following sports:
Readington Rec Soccer, Readington Rec Softball, Readington Girls Lacrosse, Readington Rec or Travel Basketball, Readington Flag Football or Readington Tewksbury Baseball
Coaches from any other organizations are welcome to register and pay the $40 fee.
Class date: Monday September 30th
Time: 6:00-9:00 pm
Location: Courtroom in Readington Municipal Building
