Landscape Painting: Morning Light Summer Fridays 2022

Landscape painters through history such as Hopper, Monet and Renoir, were all inspired by the colors offered by working “plein air” from the early morning light. In this class, artists of all levels will get to experience what those artists enjoyed with a supportive and inspired instructor to assist them. Working from various scenic locations at our Dobozynski Farm and surrounding locations students will improve their skills via beginner and advanced instruction in drawing, composition, color theory and the proper use of materials. Open to students of all levels working with pastels, oil and acrylic paint. Students should bring their favorite medium to the first class where color materials will be discussed. Light easels, tables and chairs are provided. Class will meet in studio on rainy days.
Drawing & Painting Beg/Int with Charles Viera – Wed Class

The curriculum of this class is devised to offer students a structured environment in which to create. Basic and advanced instruction is offered as students work from a variety of studio assignments which can include landscape painting from the scenic Dobozynski Farm location and independent projects of their own design. Each student will be encouraged to explore academic as well as more expressionistic and abstract options via group and individual critiques. Open to drawing, pastel, oil, and acrylic painters.
Adult Art Boot Camp Ages 16+ Summer 2022

Calling all artists to join Illustrator and Art Teacher Lena Shiffman for a fun and creative week of art boot camp at the beautiful Dobozynski Farm. Join Lena and spend five consecutive mornings creating art. Work from a still- life set up by the teacher or use your own photographs, or if the weather permits set up your materials outside on the beautiful farm and paint “plein air”. Work with your favorite medium or pick a new one to learn such as charcoal, pastels, oil, acrylic, or watercolor. If new to art, drawing is always a great place to begin. You can work on one painting all week or start a new one each day, the choice is yours. All ability levels welcome!

You can select which 3 days you want to attend. It is for all 6 weeks of camp.
There is no Extended Day program on Fridays because we cannot get a bus on Fridays.
2022 Introductory Price is $540 for 6 weeks (3 days per week)

Activities included at Healthquest: Swimming (indoors and outdoors), sports, games and more.
We will need a minimum of 10 campers registered for this program and program capacity will be limited.
