Work from a still- life set up by the teacher or use your own photographs\, or if the weather permits set up your materials outside on the beautiful farm and paint “plein air”.  Work with your favorite medium or pick a new one to learn such as charcoal\, pastels\, oil\, acrylic\, or watercolor.
